In general, viewers of elevator advertising tend to be young, active, upwardly mobile, with a high level of disposable income. In fact, since they are still unencumbered with families and mortgages, they tend to be disproportionately heavy consumers of goods and services, as shown in the following statistics:

 

  • 89% dine out once per month or more (63% at least once per week)
  • 48% try the restaurants advertised in their elevators
  • 60% order in food at least once per month
  • 89% are active in sports (56% once per week or more)
  • 75% purchase fashion items once per month or more
  • Of those aged 20 - 34, 66% go to nightclubs at least once a month
  • On average, residents travel 2 times for leisure each year
